2. Jagannath (means Lord of the
Universe) is a restaurant on Kipande Road, Ngara Nairobi. All foods are less than Sh100 (Chapo ndengu, Sh80, Chapo dondo, Sh70… while ‘kula ushibe’ buffet for one is Sh185. Check
out ‘Jenga Mwili’ too. If you are nyama choma Nairobian tough luck!

4. Uswazi located along Plains View road in South B serves Pilau Sh150 Chapati-Maharagwe ya Nazi (Sh150) Wali wa Nazi and Beef fry (Sh150) plus Biriani. All kinds of Juice at just Sh60 and they
say, “Tamu mdomoni, shillingi
mkononi.”
5. Rodajo Café, Tsavo Lane, off Tom Mboya Street: Ugali Matumbo Sh120, Ugali beef Sh150, Ugali fish Sh180…
you can also have rice and chapo for similar third world friendly prices. You can also have ‘ugali obambo’ (ugali and dried fish Sh170), ugali omena Sh100, Ugali bone (marrow) Sh140.
6. Kojunga Foods , behind Guardian Bank on K-street: Ugali fish Sh190/Chicken, rice, ugali Sh190/Nyama boil Sh150/ugali matumbo fry Sh150/ugali

7. Green Rose Restaurant. Popularly known as GR, the ever busy eating point along Lang’ata road just opposite Nyayo Stadium is the only place in town that will serve you traditionally prepared Kamongo, Athola (Sh180) and Matumbo Fresh at just (Sh150)
8. Mikayi (meaning the first wife) along the busy Biashara Street: Nyoyo (Sh180) very simple food served with Ugali, Rice and Chapati for just Sh160.
9. Ka Nyanam Muindi Mbingu street is mostly known for delicious chapatti and fish. Kichwa (head) Mid-field or defense at only Sh. 180
